This also works like the positional servo, but it has extra gears. The purpose of these gears is to alter the output to back and forth from circular motion. These servos are not easily found, but they can be found in hobby stores. In these hobby stores are used as actuators in large airplanes.
Uses of a servomotor
A servomotor is used mainly for devices that have been built with high technology. It is used for the activation of movements in robotics. Servo motor gives the robotics’ arm its exact angle. It is also used in improving the focus of images by modifying the camera lens.
A servo motor is used in controlling the speed, wheels and also to generate the torque required to move, start and to stop a robotic vehicle. In textile industries, servomotors are used to control knitting machines.
This motor is also used to set the angle of the solar panel. This ensures that the panel faces the sun in the solar tracking system. Conveyor belts require this motor to start, move and to stop. During bottling, packaging, and labeling of products, the conveyor belt uses this motor to carry the product along all these stages.
